Oyo govt ready to partner stakeholders to improve education quality: Commissioner

The Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Segun Olayiwola, has stated the government’s readiness to partner with all stakeholders to enhance education quality and students’ safety.
Mr Olayiwola stated this when he received the commandant of the Police Secondary School, Igboora, Fisayo Ogunlade, on Friday in Ibadan.
Mr Olayiwola said the government will cooperate with all stakeholders in the education sector in the interest of children, according to a statement by the commissioner for information, Dotun Oyelade.
According to the commissioner, collaboration is key across all schools and institutions, whether owned by the state or federal government, the military, the police, or the private sector, and predominantly benefitting indigenes of Oyo State.
In her remarks, Ms Ogunlade pledged the school management’s commitment to collaborating with the state government to promote quality education and the academic development of students.
She said the purpose of the visit was to seek greater support for the school due to its location.
Ms Ogunlade said, “Out of the five police secondary schools in the South-West region, the Igboora school is the second largest, with a student population of over 750 drawn from both civilian and police families.”
