The Oyo State government has released the results of the 2026 placement screening exercise for admission into junior secondary schools across the state.

The commissioner for education, science and technology, Olusegun Olayiwola, announced this in a statement issued by the state government in Ibadan on Friday.

Mr Olayiwola directed head teachers and other relevant stakeholders to liaise with Local Inspectors of Education (LIsE) in their respective local government areas to collect the results of their pupils.

He said, “The release of the results marked another important step towards ensuring a smooth and transparent transition of pupils from primary schools to the next level of their education.”

The commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the state government to providing a fair, credible, and efficient placement process for pupils across the state.

He congratulated successful candidates and urged them to remain focused and committed to their studies as they proceed to Junior Secondary School One (JSS1) for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Mr Olayiwola also encouraged the pupils to approach the new phase of their education with seriousness, discipline, and determination.

He assured them that continued dedication to learning would contribute significantly to their academic success.
