Music mogul Don Jazzy introduced 21-year-old singer CupidSZN as the newest addition to Mavin Records, sharing the news in an Instagram post that traced the artiste’s journey.

According to him, CupidSZN’s father first sent a message four years ago encouraging Don Jazzy to listen to his son, then 17, but the message went unnoticed. Two years later, the determined youngster crossed paths with Mavin again and later excelled at the Mavin Academy.

Born Stevenson Njoku Anyinachiso in Port Harcourt, CupidSZN discovered music after stumbling on a Juice WRLD video.

Initially drawn to trap, he switched to Afrobeats on his father’s advice to win over home audiences first.

In barely a year, he released music that amassed over 10 million streams and has now debuted his first EP, MYTH ERA, under the Mavin imprint.

Burna Boy pauses Colorado concert over sleeping couple

Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy halted his performance at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado after noticing a man and his girlfriend asleep in the front row.
