Senior Political Assistant to Atiku Abubakar, Demola Olarewaju, has reacted to the first interview of the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Kabiru Turaki, describing it as a welcome development and a vindication of Mr Atiku’s political stance.

Reacting on his Twitter handle @DemolaRewaju said “…This for me is not only a vindication of our stance with Atiku Abubakar but a very welcome development that aligns with our broad view of the political space ahead of 2027: those who want to support Tinubu’s failed government and policies should go and stand together while those of us opposed to failed governance and in pursuit of a better Nigeria must work together.”

He further said that his principal, Atiku Abubakar, has been consistent in his insistence that the opposition must work together against the bad governance and wicked policies that had impoverished Nigerians since 2023.

He said, “A pragmatic look at the 2023 electoral results as declared by INEC shows that Bola Tinubu is in Aso Rock today with a 36.6% plurality, that is less than a 50% majority win. Atiku has been at the forefront of efforts to forge a robust opposition coalition based on mutual understanding, not just for electoral victory but for good governance to the benefit of all Nigerians. A robust opposition coalition is the necessary first step to unseating the failed APC government and if PDP is willing to think outside the norm and push itself along these lines beyond selfish interests, then the party is a welcome ally for us who believe in a better Nigeria.”.
