Police arraign man over alleged theft of N15 million Ford Explorer

The Police on Thursday arraigned a 42-year-old man, Olawale Bashiru, before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court over alleged stealing of a Ford Explorer valued at N15 million.
Mr Bashiru was arraigned before Magistrate Lateef Owolabi on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Josephine Ikhayere, told the court that the defendant and another person still at large conspired to commit the offences sometime in August in Lagos.
Mrs Ikhayere further alleged that Bashiru stole a Ford Explorer valued at N15 million, belonging to Olatunji Afolabi.
She said the alleged offences contravened Sections 328(1)(2)(a)(b) and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Mr Bashiru pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Mr Owolabi granted him bail in the sum of N700,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case until November 26 for further proceedings.
