Police advise Nigerian youths to be honest in life

The police command in Enugu has advised Nigerian youths to shun crimes, saying honesty is the surest path to lasting success.
The command’s Spokesman, Daniel Ndukwe, gave the advice on Tuesday in Enugu in a statement he issued reflecting on the just-concluded 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The statement was titled ‘Beyond the Trophy: What Spain’s World Cup Triumph Teaches About Success and Integrity’.
Mr Ndukwe urged youths to shun crime and reject criminality, but embrace hard work and integrity.
He said, “Beyond the trophy lies a lesson for us all. Whether in sports, education, business or any other endeavour, lasting success is built on discipline, perseverance, integrity and honest effort.
“Quick gains through crime or wrongdoing may seem tempting, but they inevitably lead to loss, regret and consequences. True victory belongs to those who choose the right path, remain steadfast through life’s challenges and earn their success honourably.”
