Police, Air Force shell bandits hideout in Katsina; kill eight, rescue six victims

Notorious bandits kingpin Abdulkarim Faca-faca was killed during the raid, police spokesman Gambo Isah disclosed in a statement.

A Sunday morning raid on bandits’ hideout at Tandama village resulted in the killing of at least eight bandits and rescue of six abducted victims, police in Katsina said.

Police combatants, supported by the Air Force, stormed the bandits haven located in Danja Local Government Area of the state. 

Notorious bandits kingpin Abdulkarim Faca-faca was killed during the raid, police spokesman Gambo Isah disclosed in a statement.

A few bandits escaped with bullet wounds while rustled cows perished in the air raid, Mr Isah pointed out.

Among the rescued victims were 52-year- old Garba Dan-Mallam, Rabiu Idris, aged 45 and Abba Samaila, 38-year-old, all of Unguwar Nuhu LGA.

“Also, Yunusa Sani, aged 54, Ishaq Yakub, 40 and Danjuma Samaila, aged 45, all of Layin Sani Village Kafur,” he said.
