Police arraign man, 24, over alleged house breaking, stealing

The police on Thursday arraigned a 24-year-old man, Kehinde Rasheed, before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State, over an alleged house breaking and stealing.
Rasheed, whose address was not provided, was charged with house breaking and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Corporal David Adepoju, told the court that the defendant committed the offence sometime in October at Moniya area of Ibadan.
Mr Adepoju alleged that the defendant entered the house of one Oyebode Abimbola and stole farm boots, cutlasses, clothing materials, chisel, among other items.
He said that the offence contravened Sections 412 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Kausarat Ayofe, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until December 16 for hearing.
