The Nigeria Police Force has announced that the autopsy procedures on Afrobeats musician Promise Aloba, professionally known as Mohbad, have been completed and now await results.

“The Nigeria Police Force wishes to inform the public that the autopsy procedure for Mr. Mohbad has been successfully completed,” the force said in an update on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday.

It comes after the body of the ‘Ko Por Ke’ singer, who died under mysterious and unexplained circumstances on September 12, was exhumed in the early hours of Thursday by the panel set up by the state police to investigate his death.

“Further information will be provided as soon as the results are available,” the police reassured Nigerians, who have sought justice and steps to unravel the cause of Mohbad’s sudden death.

A few days ago, American rappers Durk ‘Lil Durk’ Banks and Robert ‘Meek Mill’ Williams paid tribute to the late singer and commended the efforts of Nigerians calling for an investigation into the death, given that Marlian Records and Lagos socialite Sam Larry maltreated Mohbad.
