Police condemn gruesome killing of four in Rivers community
The Rivers State police command has condemned the gruesome killing of four persons, including an OSPAC official, in Omoku community in the state.
In a statement on Wednesday, Agabe Kaborlo, the command’s spokesperson, said the incident occurred on Wednesday.
“The Rivers State Police Command strongly condemns the gruesome attack that occurred on 22nd July, 2026, in Omoku, which claimed the lives of one OSPAC official and three other persons,” she said.
She said that one of the victims, identified as Obidi Emenike, sustained gunshot injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.
The Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, described the incident as unfortunate, disturbing, and a threat to the relative peace currently being enjoyed in the state.
The command condemned this heinous act in its entirety and assures the public that those responsible will be identified, arrested, and made to face the full weight of the law.
