Police declare influencer Killaboi wanted months after confessing to killing girlfriend

The Lagos State Police Command has declared Instagram influencer Benjamin Nnanyereugo, aka Killaboi, wanted over the death of his 21-year-old girlfriend, Augusta Osedion.
The state police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated on Tuesday in Ikeja that Mr Nnanyereugo was suspected to have murdered the lady on July 13 at his Oral Estate, Ajah, Lagos, home.
“Following the exhaustion of all available options to bring Nnanyereugo in, he is declared wanted,” Mr Hundeyin said.
“The suspect is 26 years old, approximately 5.9 feet tall, and hails from Abia. He is dark in complexion and speaks English, Igbo, and Pidgin English fluently.
“If seen, please contact the nearest police station or call 0803 688 5727,’’ he added.
The development comes months after Killaboi confessed in a series of posts on his Instagram page that he stabbed the deceased in a heated argument.
“I got into an argument with my girlfriend @austa xxo which fight I mistakenly stabbed her and ran away out of fear and been suicidal since then(sic). I intend to end my life now cause I have lost the one I cherish so much. I want to do the right thing and turn myself in. I will gladly die by paying with my life now,” he wrote in one of his numerous posts on his Insta Stories.
Following his confessions, Nigerians have since called for his arrest.
