Police decorate 181 promoted officers in Katsina

The police command in Katsina has decorated 181 newly promoted officers with their new ranks.
The ceremony took place at the command’s headquarters in Katsina on Monday.
Police commissioner Aliyu Abubakar-Musa congratulated the officers and charged them to ensure professionalism, integrity, and dedication in discharging their duties.
He urged them to redouble their efforts in serving the country and called on their friends and families to continue supporting them in their roles.
Mr Abubakar-Musa also thanked the inspector general of police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the chairman of the Police Service Commission for finding the officers worthy of promotion.
The newly promoted officers were decorated with their new ranks, with the command’s spokesman, Abubakar Aliyu, being decorated with his new rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police.
In a vote of thanks, ACP Aminu Abdulkarim appreciated the IGP and the chairman of the PSC for the promotion and promised that the officers would give their best in serving the nation.
He also expressed gratitude to the police commissioner for his support and mentorship, which, he said, had been instrumental in their career growth.
“This development is a significant boost to the Police Command in Katsina State and is expected to enhance the effectiveness of the police in maintaining law and order in the state.
“The promotion of the officers is a well-deserved recognition of their hard work and dedication to their duties and is a testament to the commitment of the police leadership to rewarding excellence and merit,” Mr Abdulkarim said.
