Police detain suspect for trespassing at Bauchi NBC office

The police in Bauchi have detained a suspect for allegedly trespassing and stealing three television sets at the National Broadcasting Commission office in the metropolis.
This is contained in a statement signed by the spokesman of the command, Nafiu Habib, on Monday in Bauchi.
He said the suspect, who is now at large, connived with his accomplice, burgled the premises and carted away three television sets valued at N400,000.
Mr Habib said operatives of the command under ‘E’ Division Yelwa apprehended the suspect on May 3.
The spokesman said the police recovered three stolen televisions, adding that the suspect would be prosecuted on completion of investigations.
The commissioner of police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, reiterated his commitment to safeguarding lives and property in the state.
The commissioner urged residents and organisations to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the police via the command’s control room line at 08151849417.
