Police investigating Trey Songz for sexual assault
American singer Tremaine Neversonis popularly known as Trey Songz, is under investigation for sexual assault in a Las Vegas hotel.
According to the U.S.-based publication People, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department revealed a sexual assault report against the ‘Say aah’ crooner on November 28.
Full details of the incident are still sketchy, but reports said the incident happened at a hotel in the 3700 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard.
Last year the artist was accused of sexual misconduct by an individual identified as Ms Aliza.
Ms Aliza said Songz seized her phone and bag, had her locked up in the hotel room, and wouldn’t let her leave.
“I kept asking, like, when can I leave? What time is it? And he just, like, wouldn’t answer, he would just fucking ignore me. And I’m like, okay. And then he was like, you can leave when I go to my flight, and I was like, kay, when’s that? Wouldn’t tell me,” she said.
She also alleged that the artiste urinated on her during their sexual doings without her permission.
In response to her allegations, Trey Songz tweeted saying, “I usually stay quiet on this but I feel that in many ways the movement to fight for the women who actually have suffered harassment and abuse on various levels, has been hijacked by those who find it convenient for themselves to come up as they seek to destroy someone’s life.”
Regarding the latest allegation, the artiste has yet to comment.
However, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said he was cooperating with the investigation so far.
