Police nab female suspected gunrunner, recover ammunition in Delta

The Delta State police command has arrested a suspected female gunrunner, Happiness Clifford, in connection with suspected gun-running activities in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of the state.
The disclosure was made in a statement by the command’s spokesman, Bright Edafe, on Sunday.
He said the 28-year-old suspect was arrested after credible intelligence.
“Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the Special Anti-Kidnapping Unit (SAKU), Ubulu-Uku, arrested one Happiness Clifford, female, aged 28 years, in connection with suspected gun-running activities in Agbor, Ika South LGA,” he said.
He said that a search of the suspected hideout led to the recovery of 10 live cartridges concealed in a bucket.
Mr Edafe stated that during preliminary investigation, the suspect allegedly identified her husband, one Clifford Okoro, as a major supplier of the ammunition.
Mr Edafe noted that investigation was ongoing and efforts intensified to apprehend him.
