Police nab New York Subway shooter

Frank James, the suspect wanted for opening fire on a New York City subway, has been arrested.
The 62-year old was arrested on Wednesday by patrol officers in Manhattan’s East Village.
“My fellow New Yorkers, we got him,” New York City Mayor Eric Adams told reporters.
Mr Frank’s arrest came after investigators found a 9mm Glock handgun, a bag containing explosives and a credit card abandoned at the scene.
The gun was traced by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigators to Mr James and a pawn shop in Columbus, NBC reported.
Mr James now faces federal terrorism charges for targeting a mass transit system, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, Breon Peace.
USA Today reported that Mr James had been criminally linked to New Jersey, Pennsylvania as well, with nine prior arrests in New York and three in New Jersey.
On Tuesday, the subway carriage of the N-train in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, was attacked after the suspect opened fire, wounding several people.
Reports said 10 people were shot and 19 others taken to hospitals for injuries ranging from smoke inhalation to shrapnel wounds.
Witnesses said the attacker had got on the subway wearing a gas mask and reflective vest. The attacker then launched a smoke bomb into a crowded car.
