Police nab suspected kidnapper in Taraba

The Taraba police command has arrested a suspected Kidnapper, one Kingsley Alose, in Ibi Local Government Area of the state.
This is contained in a statement on Wednesday by ASP James Lashen, police public relations officer (PPRO) of the command in Jalingo.
“The operatives of the command received a report at Ibi division on August 6 by Mr Hillary Ubandoma that three unidentified armed hoodlums invaded the house of Mr Joshua Ubandoma of Sabon Pegi and took him away.
“Upon receipt of the information, operatives attached to Ibi division in collaboration with local youths, swung into action, visited the scene, trailed the kidnappers’ motorcycle tyre marks into the bush and conducted an extensive search of the forest.
“Through an unrelenting effort, on Sept. 2, the operatives successfully apprehended Alose of same Sabo Pegi in connection with the case,” the statement added.
According to the statement, the case is under investigation at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in the command.
The statement quoted the Commissioner of Police (CP) in Taraba, Betty Isokpan, as commending the operatives for the arrest.
She also assured Taraba residents of the command’s commitment to fighting against all forms of criminality.
“The command will continue to work diligently to prevent crime and create a safe and secure environment for all,” it said.
