The Ondo State Police Command has nabbed two suspects and recovered a stolen motorcycle in Ogbese, Akure North Local Government Area of the state.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Olushola Ayanlade, who made this known in a statement on Sunday in Akure, said the breakthrough was recorded after acting on credible intelligence from community-based security volunteers.

He said the operatives of the Ogbese Division swiftly moved into action after receiving information that two individuals were in possession of an unregistered TVS motorcycle suspected to have been stolen.

Mr Ayanlade said the two suspects were identified as Aduku Moses and Kunle Agboola.

According to him, the suspects were intercepted and accosted after failing to provide any satisfactory documentation or proof of ownership for the motorcycle.

“During interrogation, both suspects confessed to stealing the motorcycle in Ekiti and bringing it to Ogbese in Ondo State with the intention of selling it.
“The unregistered motorcycle has since been recovered. Members of the public who may have recently lost a motorcycle are advised to visit the Ogbese Division with valid proof of ownership for possible identification and recovery,” the spokesperson said.

Mr Ayanlade therefore reiterated the command’s commitment to maintaining safety, ensuring accountability, and strengthening partnerships to contribute to a more secure Ondo State.

“No matter where anyone comes from to perpetrate criminal acts in Ondo State, the command will decisively track them down,” he stated.
