Police probe murder of two men in Glasgow apartment

Police in Glasgow, Scotland, have opened murder investigation into the death of two men found with serious injuries inside a flat in the city.
The lifeless bodies of Paul Lafferty, 50 and Gary Beaton, 54 were found inside Mr Lafferty’s home on Chancellor street in Patrick at about 4:40 p.m on Sunday.
The police in Scotland at a press conference on Wednesday confirmed the death of the two men, adding that a knife was believed to have been used to commit the murder.
Detective Superintendent Cheryl Kelly of Police Scotland’s Major Investigations unit said their thoughts were with families of the deceased.
“We are doing all that we can to help them get the answers. They are currently being supported by specialist officers.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who knew both Paul and Gary, who were in the Partick area near to Chancellor Street, on Friday morning (August 14) from about 9am until about 5pm on Sunday afternoon.”
“If they saw Paul and Gary, or if they know or if they’ve seen anything suspicious. It is vital we trace whoever is responsible and we are fully committed to doing this”, the police said.
The police have begun reviewing CCTV footage as part of investigation to determine the cause of their death.
