Police to conduct two-day shooting range exercise in Ogun

The police command in Ogun says it will conduct a 2-day shooting range exercise for officers from Tuesday to Wednesday at the 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
He said the exercise forms part of ongoing training to improve operational readiness and officers’ marksmanship skills.
“Residents and commuters around the area are advised to exercise caution and avoid the marked vicinity during the exercise.
“The command assures the public that strict safety measures are in place, and expected gunfire sounds should not cause alarm.
“We seek residents’ cooperation and understanding, as following safety instructions will ensure a smooth exercise while keeping everyone safe,” Mr Babaseyi said.
He urged the public to report suspicious activities via the Gateway Shield toll-free line 0800 000 9111 and other command’s emergency numbers.
