According to him, the robbery gang specialises in attacking and robbing PoS operators in the Omuma area of Aba and its environs.

He said that the RRS squad trailed them to a hideout where they were arrested.

Mr Ogbonna said that on July 6, the same robbery gang allegedly robbed one Egede Michael Onyekachi, a PoS operator at No. 3A Nwangwa street off Omuma Road, Aba.

He added that in the course of the operation, the suspects shot Mr Onyekachi on his stomach, robbed him of his PoS machine and cash of N250,000.

He said the police were now trailing other fleeing members of the gang and urged anyone with useful information on the suspects to report to the command.
