Presidential Primary: APC delegates urged to vote for Osinbajo

A group, Nigerian Youths Decide 2023, has appealed to the All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates to vote for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as the party’s flag bearer to ensure good governance.
During a rally ahead of the convention, Makama Paul, chairman of the group, said it was high time credible, young, talented and visionary individuals took over the mantle of leadership to boost the country’s economic and democratic development.
“It is time for Nigerians, especially the youths to plan and secure their future with leadership and empowerment skills for economic development,” noted Mr Paul. “We need a good leader that is ready to help the youth and make sure they are gainfully employed with an interest of development at heart.”
Mr Paul added that the 2023 general elections should not be about good leadership, sustainable progress and development of Nigeria.
He maintained that meaningful development could only be achieved in an atmosphere of love, peace and unity. The group’s leader said with Mr Osinbajo’s “enviable wisdom, vibrancy, and humility, a better future is possible” for Nigeria.
Mallam Jamilu, a member of the group, noted that discipline, focus and other good qualities of Mr Osinbajo attracted members from various parts of the federation to pursue a common cause of ensuring that he becomes the country’s next president.
According to Mr Jamilu, Mr Osinbajo has demonstrated the leadership ability and experience needed to pilot the nation’s affairs and would make a good president.
