Protect your family’s legacy; don’t take Osun people for granted, Gov. Ortom counsels Adeleke

Benue governor Samuel Ortom has advised governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke, not to betray the confidence bestowed upon him by Osun people who voted massively for him in Saturday’s poll.
Mr Ortom gave the counsel via a congratulatory message signed by his spokesman Nathaniel Ikyur on Sunday.
“I am convinced that you will provide an enduring leadership for the people in appreciation for the massive support they have given you,” Mr Ortom said.
He, however, stressed that Mr Adeleke should carry everybody along.
The governor noted that the people expected Mr Adeleke to change the narrative by bringing positive changes to his state.
Praising the outcome of the election, Mr Ortom says the victory of Mr Adeleke indicates an awaiting victory for the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 general elections.
“The election of Adeleke is a precursor to the sweet round of victories awaiting the PDP,” Mr Ortom said.
He praised Mr Adeleke for his steadfastness, hard work and commitment to the welfare of the people that earned him the victory.
The governor urged Mr Adeleke to sustain and improve his family’s reputation of excellence, dignity and leadership so Osun could regain her glory under his administration.
He also praised the people of Osun, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the media, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and the security operatives for ensuring the people’s will prevailed.
