PSG beat Tottenham to lift UEFA Super Cup

UEFA Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain have beaten Europa League champions Tottenham Hotspur on penalties after a dramatic comeback to lift the UEFA Super Cup.
PSG pulled off a stunning comeback against Spurs on Wednesday night, overturning a two-goal deficit to level the match before the final whistle.
Both sides began the match with fighting spirit, with Tootenham finishing scoring there two goals after two wonderful set pieces deliveries to allow Van de Ven to open the score sheet before the interval with a rebound that falls kindly in the defenders foot to take the lead, after the Spurs’ new captain Cristain Romero after a brillant delivery from Pedro Porro to double the lead in Udine.
The game turned around when super-sub Kang-in Lee came on and scored a beautiful goal from 20 yards, finding the bottom right corner to put Luis Enrique’s side back in the game.
Minutes later, PSG levelled it with an amazing build-up play starting from Hakimi, who slipped the ball into the 18-yard box for Dembélé to cross to Gonçalo Ramos to head it home in the six-yard box.
In the penalty shootout, Spurs suffered a major setback when Micky van de Ven’s spot-kick was saved by Chevalier, and Mathys Tel compounded the misery by missing his penalty despite sending PSG’s goalkeeper the wrong way.
Nuno Mendes secured the victory for PSG, adding another trophy to their collection.
The final is also an analysis to help both teams in their European and domestic competitions.
The victory comes just weeks after PSG’s historic UCL victory, a 5-0 thrashing of Inter Milan in Munich to win their first European title, as well as their disappointing defeat to current Club World Cup champions Chelsea.
Conversely, Ballon d’Or contender Ousmane Dembélé enhances his statistics to secure the cup, earning the Man of the Match award in the Supercup. Delivering key assists and goals, he has showcased incredible performances in significant matches this year.
