Raheem Sterling nets brace as Chelsea secure first Premier League win

Raheem Sterling netted twice while Nicolas Jackson scored his first goal as Chelsea recorded their first win of the new Premier League season with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Luton Town at Stadium on Friday night.
Having lost one and drawn one in their first two opening games of the season, Chelsea fans were eager for a win under manager Mauricio Pochettino and have now recorded it with a dominating performance.
England international Sterling was the one who put Chelsea ahead 17 minutes with a well-placed left-footed effort. He dribbled past multiple Luton players inside the six-yard box before slotting into the far-left corner.
Luton grew into the game and seemed they were ready to cage the Blues from having the sole possession of the ball but did not last long after Sterling doubled Chelsea’s lead from an assist from Malo Gusto in the 68th minute.
Barely seven minutes later, Gambian-born Senegal international Jackson scored his first competitive goal for Chelsea to seal the win for the Blues as they secured their first maximum points of the season.
Luton Town, who are playing in the top flight for the first time in the Premier League era, have now lost their two matches in the new season and will continue their quest for a first league win against West Ham next week.
