Ramadan: Buhari invites Tinubu to Iftar in Aso Rock
President Muhammadu Buhari has invited national leader of the All Progressives Congress and presidential hopeful, Bola Tinubu, to Iftar at the presidential villa.
The invitation, sent by chief of staff to the president, Ibrahim Gambari, through APC chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, was also extended to former interim chairman of APC, Bisi Akande, and John Oyegun, a former APC chairman.
The invitation reads: “I write to inform you that the President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that invitation be extended to the attached list of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress to join the President to break Ramadan fast on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 1830 hours in the presidential banquet hall, state house, Abuja.
“In this regard, you are kindly requested to invite them to attend. The leaders are to arrive at the Pilot Gate at 1630 hours for Rapid COVID-19 testing at the state house conference centre and be seated at the venue by 1800 hours.”
Others invited for the breaking of fast are Adams Oshiomhole, former Edo governor and ex-APC chairman; Murtala Nyako, former governor of Adamawa; Olusegun Osoba, former governor of Ogun; Ali Modu Sheriff, former Borno governor; Oserheimen Osunbor, former Edo governor; and Ahmed Yerima, former Zamfara governor.
Bukar Ibrahim, a former governor of Yobe, and Nasiru Danu, a chieftain of the ruling party, were also invited.
