Rattlesnake, Omo Ghetto scoop AMVCA nominations

Ramsey Nouah’s ‘Rattlesnake’ is up for the most nominations as it was up in 10 categories, followed closely by Funke Akindele’s ‘Omo Ghetto’, with nine nominations.

The 2022 AMVCA’s nomination list is officially up and some of Nigeria’s favorite stars and biggest movies have received multiple nominations. 

The 5nomination show to announce the nominees for the 8th AMVCA was hosted by actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington and film director Daniel Etim Effiong, via a livestream on Saturday.

The categories of nominees include on-screen performances, directorial turns, set design choices, song selections, and styling executions and the newest category, best online social content creator.

Funke Akindele swooped nominations for ‘Best Costume Designer’, ‘Best Actress in a Comedy’, ‘Best Movie W/Africa’, ‘Best TV Series (Comedy/Drama’, ‘Best Africa Magic Original Comedy Series’, and ‘Best Overall Movie’.

Ramsey Nouah’s ‘Rattlesnake’ is up for the most nominations as it was up in 10 categories, followed closely by Funke Akindele’s ‘Omo Ghetto’, with nine nominations.

The 2022 AMVCA will have an eight-day schedule of activities that will end with the anticipated awards night on May 14.
