Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham wins ‘La Liga Player of the Season’
England international forward, Jude Bellingham, has been voted the La Liga Player of the Season after helping Real Madrid win the league title in his first season in Spain following his move from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
The 20-year-old scored 19 goals and assisted six times as Real Madrid beat second-placed Barcelona by 10 points to win the 2023/24 La Liga title, a campaign in which the player played a pivotal role.
Bellingham beat his own teammate Vinicius Junior, Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid), Artem Dovbyk (Girona) and Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona) in votes cast by fans, club captains and a panel of experts.
Reacting to the win, Bellingham said, “I would like to dedicate it to my teammates, the coaching staff and, most importantly, to the fans of the best club in the world. “It’s a pleasure every time I play for this team. Hala Madrid,” he added.
