The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Dental Technologists Registration Board of Nigeria, Dr Bappah,  has said teamwork among members of the dental team remains the greatest strength for achieving quality oral healthcare delivery.

Mr Bappah spoke on the sidelines of the 58th Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of the Nigerian Dental Association (NDA) in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to him, the success of dental care does not depend on any single professional group but on effective synergy and collaboration across the entire dental team.

He listed members of the dental team to include dental surgeons, dental technologists, dental therapists, dental nurses and dental surgery assistants.

Mr Bappah said each member of the team played a vital and complementary role in ensuring that patients received the highest standard of care.

He stated, “Let us continue to uphold mutual respect, understanding and collaboration in all our professional engagements. When we recognise and value one another’s unique contributions, we strengthen the bonds that unite us and build a more effective, harmonious and resilient dental health system, one free from quackery and division.

“As we deliberate during this conference, may our discussions be guided by wisdom, respect and the spirit of teamwork that defines our noble profession.

“On behalf of the Dental Technologists Registration Board of Nigeria and all stakeholders in the dental technology profession, I wish the Nigerian Dental Association continued success, unity and progress.”

He added that the association’s unwavering pursuit of excellence in oral healthcare delivery remained commendable and essential for strengthening the nation’s dental health system.
