Ibrahim Maiyaki-Bazama, the sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Nasarawa, has sounded a note of warning to officers, vowing to punish anyone caught engaging in corrupt practices while discharging their duties.

Mr Maiyaki-Bazama urged personnel of the Corps to strictly adhere to professionalism.

“The corps will take drastic measures against anyone found wanting, to serve as deterrent to others,” he said.

“If officers and men of the corps adhere strictly to their professional ethics, it will not only promote peace but speedy development in the country,” he added.

The sector commander also reminded personnel of the command of their roles in ensuring that motorists adhere to traffic rules and regulations.

Mr Maiyaki-Bazama commended the officers and men of the command for working tirelessly to ensure that the roads were safe for motorists and other road users.

The sector commander assured the personnel of continuous training and retaining to enhance their professionalism and effective service delivery.

“We will continue to train our officers and men to ensure professionalism while discharging their duties to ensure they operate within the core mandates of the corps,” he added.

He called on the public to always observe traffic rules and regulations to reduce accidents on the highways.
