Ronaldo reaches new career high; puts four past Al-Wehda to lift Al-Nassr atop Saudi league

Cristiano Ronaldo reached and surpassed 500 career league goals milestone as he scored four to help Al-Nassr F.C thrash Al-Wehda 4-0 in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday evening.
The 38-year-old had struggled to hit the ground running in his new Saudi home, managing to score just once in his first three for the Knights of Najd but as they say “form is temporary but class is permanent”, Ronaldo stole the show at the King Abdul Aziz Stadium.
Ronaldo got his first goal of the night in the 21st minute with a left footed shot inside the 18-yard box, which was a historic 500th league goal for the Portuguese before netting his 501th in the cusp of the first half through a right footed shot from the right side of box thanks to an assist by Sami Al Naji.
In the 51st minute, the former Manchester United star struck his third of the game from a spotkick, taking his career league goals tally to 502. Ten minutes later, Ronaldo rounded up his scintillating performance with a fourth goal of the night to send Al-Nassr atop the league standings.
Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored a hat trick in each of the last 14 years while taking his total career scoring tally to 824 goals.
