Ronaldo scores as Manchester United survive West Ham scare
Cristiano Ronaldo scored on Sunday, helping Manchester United grab a crucial away win at West Ham.
United narrowly defeated Hammer 2-1, moving into second position on the Premier League table, behind Liverpool on goal difference.
Saïd Benrahma gave the Hammers the lead in the 30th minute. But United fought their way back into the game with Ronaldo scoring five minutes later.
Jesse Lingered redeemed his error that cost United last week champions league game against Young Boys, netting a winner for United in the 89th minute.
The Hammers got another chance to equalise from the spot, but David De Gea brilliantly saved Mark Nobel’s stoppage time penalty, wrapping up a win for United.
With Sunday’s win, United this season have remained unbeaten in the Premier League, pushing as a potential title contender.
