Rovers FC defeat Godswill Akpabio United 2-0 in NNL clash

Rovers FC of Calabar defeated visiting Godswill Akpabio United 2-0 on Sunday in a Nigeria National League Matchday 15 fixture.
The home side dominated the B2 Southern Conference encounter from the start, controlling proceedings throughout.
Rovers FC scored in each half of the largely one-sided but entertaining match.
Hyacinth Olie gave the Calabar-based side the lead in the 15th minute of the first half.
The hosts extended their advantage in the 75th minute through Emmanuel Ita, sealing the victory.
With the win, Rovers FC now have 19 points from 15 matches, improving their position on the table.
Prior to the Matchday 15 fixtures, Rovers FC were second from bottom with 16 points, one point behind eighth-placed Osun United, who had 17 points.
The B2 Southern Conference is currently led by Akwa United with 28 points after match day 14, while First Bank occupies the bottom position with eight points.
