Samuel Chukwueze completes transfer from Villarreal to AC Milan

Italian Serie A side, AC Milan have completed the signing of Nigerian winger Samuel Chukweze from Spanish La Liga club, Villarreal, on a permanent deal, Peoples Gazette can confirm.
“AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Samuel Chimerenka Chukwueze from Villarreal CF. The Nigerian forward has signed for the Rossoneri until 30 June 2028,” the club said in a statement on Thursday.
The Rossoneri paid €20 million upfront fee and €8 million in add ons to secure the services of the 24-year-old, who had been at Villarreal since 2018 until now, scoring 37 goals in 207 appearances for the Yellow Submarine.
The Nigerian international won the UEFA Europa League with Villarreal. He will wear the number 21 shirt during his time in Milan.
Chukweze joins a growing list of Nigerian players who have featured for the 19-time Italian champions. The list includes legendary defenders Taribo West and Taye Taiwo, Nnamdi Oduamadi, Aliyu Datti and others.
