Sanwo-Olu appoints Badejo as LASU vice-chancellor

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has appointed Badejo Olawunmi as the new Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU).

The appointment was confirmed by Gbenga Omotoso, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, in a statement on Wednesday.

He stated that Mrs Olawunmi is a professor of Guidance and Counselling who was born on August 4, 1962.

He stated that the newly appointed vice-chancellor obtained her Ph.D. in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and an M.Ed. in Guidance and Counselling from UNILAG.

“Professor BADEJO Ayodeji Olawunmi succeeds Professor Ibijoke Olatunji-Bello, who is retiring after the expiration of her five-year tenure,” Mr Omotoso said.
