Selfish elites promoting division, Lai Mohammed says

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, on Friday said some selfish elites are giving the impression that Nigerians are divided and do not want to stay as one united country.
Mr Mohammed made this remark at a meeting with Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) on Friday, a statement published on Ministry of information and culture said.
“We must resist the temptation of some very selfish elite, who are giving the impression that Nigerians will not want to stay as a nation,” Mr Mohammed said.
While commending the AAAN for its planned national unity campaign, Mr Mohammed said the federal government is interested in partnering on the project.
“What has really impressed me most today is your readiness to partner with the Federal Government to actually run a campaign on national unity.
I think this is a very patriotic move, we commend it and we are very eager to partner with you.
