Mr Adegbonmire in a statement on Saturday in Akure described Mr Fasoranti as a legendary figure and a true patriot who dedicated his life to selfless service and leadership.

The lawmaker praised the elder statesman’s contributions to the development of Nigeria, particularly his role in advocacy for democratic values.

“Pa Fasoranti is an icon of democracy and a shining example of selfless leadership. His life is a testament to the power of dedication, hard work, and commitment to a noble cause. He has contributed immensely to the sustenance of democracy in the country. Fasoranti has been a prominent figure in Nigerian politics for many decades.
