Senator Ned Nwoko beat, smashed Regina Daniels’s head, brother-in-law Sammy West cries out

Sammy West, the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, on Saturday alleged that her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, beat her and smashed her head on the wall shortly after a video of his distressed sister surfaced online.
West, who vowed to defend women against domestic violence, also alleged that Nwoko sent thugs to attack the young actress.
“Makachi! E pain me say una wan finally laugh my sister. Let me repeat, anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Senator Ned Nwoko, you get luck say after you beat my sister again, smash her head for wall, you run comot send thugs! I swear I for burst all your jaw!”
West said this shortly after a viral video showing Daniels distressed after being harassed by a group of men, whom she alleged were sent by her husband.
He was also seen confronting a man during the altercation, apparently in defence of his sister.
In the video, the visibly distressed actress was seen panting heavily as people around her tried to calm her down and poured water on her head.
She repeatedly said, “Ned sent his thugs,” while struggling to catch her breath.
At one point, Daniels was heard saying, “In Ned Nwoko’s house I’m nothing, but in my house I’m a queen. I cannot stand the violence again; it’s too much.”
Peoples Gazette’s efforts to reach Mr Nwoko were unsuccessful, as his phone line was busy and WhatsApp messages sent were not responded to.
The development comes months after the senator publicly dismissed rumours that his wife had left him.
In March, while celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary, Nwoko addressed speculation about the state of their marriage, writing, “Let them talk, let them guess. While we live, while we bless, for at the end, when curtains close, it’s us, my love, that victory knows.”
The speculation began in February when Daniels removed her husband’s name from her Instagram profile and deleted several pictures of him from her page.
Shortly after her return to Instagram, the actress subtly criticised her critics who advised her following rumours of the crash of her marriage.
Posing in front of a Ferrari, the actress wrote, “Don’t comment if you’ve never cried in a Ferrari before.”
