Senegal into AFCON 2021 final, defeat Burkina Faso 3-1

Liverpool star Sadio Mane scored as Senegal defeated Burkina Faso 3-1 to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations final.
Senegal, who made it to the final in the tournament’s last edition in 2019 but lost to Algeria, qualified for the AFCON final for the third time on Wednesday.
Though it was a tough first half, Both teams went into the break with no goals.
Senegalese defender Abdou Diallo broke the deadlock for the Teranga Lions, scoring in the 70th minute of the game.
Idrissa Gueye doubled Senegal’s lead six minutes later, giving them a comfortable lead and a hope of qualifying for the final.
Burkina Faso came back into the game as Blati Toure pulled one back, rekindling the hope of a comeback, but Mane’s goal on the 87th sealed Senegal’s victory and qualification into the final.
Senegal will face the winner of Thursday’s semi-final game between Egypt and host Cameroon. The final game will be played on Sunday.
