The 2025 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards celebrated some of Africa’s creative stars on Saturday for their outstanding works in film and television productions.

The event, held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, showcased the best of African storytelling, with Femi Adebayo’s ‘Seven Doors’ emerging as the night’s biggest winner. 

The film won in categories such as Best Lead Actor (Femi Adebayo), Best Lead Actress (Chioma Chukwuka), Best Score/Music, and Best Art Direction, among others, making it the most awarded film of the night.

In the acting categories, Chioma Chukwuka’s performance in “Seven Doors” earned her the Best Lead Actress award, while Femi Adebayo, who co-directed the project, won the Best Lead Actor.

Mercy Aigbe also carted home the Best Supporting Actress award for her compelling performance in “Farmer’s Bride.”

Gabriel Afolayan won Best Supporting Actor for “Inside Life,” while Awam Amkpa clinched the Best Director award for his work on “’Lisabi: The Uprising.” Digital creativity was also acknowledged with Iyo Prosper emerging as Best Digital Content Creator, and Nigerian Idol winning Best Unscripted M-Net Original.
