Sharia judge, Offa Chief Imam, others to speak at Lagos Assembly’s annual Hijrah

The event billed for August 31 is meant to mark the beginning of a new year according to Islamic calendar.

A Sharia Court judge in Kwara, Abdulkareem Sayi and the Chief Imam of Offa, Muyideen Husayn are among the guest speakers invited to the 14th annual Hijrah organised by the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The event billed for August 31 is meant to mark the beginning of a new year according to Islamic calendar.

A notice by the Lagos Assembly also listed Ishaq Mustapha Sunuusi Zuglool, the head of academics at Daaru Da’wah Wal Irshad, Isolo, Lagos as guest speaker.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is the special guest of honour at the religious event that will be held at the assembly complex. 

The Chairman of the Planning Committee for the event is the Deputy Majority Leader of the Assembly, Noheem Adams while speaker, Mudashiru Obasa is the chief host.
