Shina Peller begs Nigerians for donations to run for president, Senate in 2023

Shina Peller has officially joined the race for the 2023 elections declaring his intention to contest the presidential seat on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as well as a senatorial slot in Oyo.
Mr Peller, who currently serves as the Federal Representative for the Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa constituency at the Ninth National Assembly, announced his ambition on Wednesday.
“THE DIE IS CAST. In recent times, I have had several support groups clamouring that I make bold political moves. I sincerely thank them for their trust and concern. While there are calls for me to run for the senate others say I should throw my hat into the presidency ring,” Mr Peller said in a tweet.

Mr Peller’s bank details were furnished in the poster provided in the tweet, begging for donations to fund his campaign and possibly secure the presidential form from the APC, pegged at N100 million.
Mr Peller also is seeking the support of Nigeria’s young population.
“I have always been committed to building a new generation of leaders. As young and credible people, it’s about time we make strong demands from our party,” Mr Peller said.
Peoples Gazette had earlier reported that campaign posters rallying support for Mr Peller were seen on major highways in Lagos.

His presidential ambition, if he could raise the N100 million, will pit him against Bola Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, among others who are also seeking to run for president.
In April, APC said its presidential nomination forms would be sold for N100 million. Candidates seeking to contest senatorial positions would pay N17 million for nomination form and an additional N3 million for expression of interest form.
