Gists Of The Week (GOTW)

As a large number of Nigerians storm out peacefully to protest against the insecurity and other vices bedeviling the polity under the Buhari regime, reality TV star Tacha, street-wise pop artist, Small Doctor and ace comedian Mr Macaroni stepped out to support the protest as they join other protesters.

Not many other celebrities followed suit unlike during the #EndSARS protest where many of them rallied their large followership in solidarity.

Many Nigerians and fans of the celebrities were particularly appreciative of the trio’s efforts to advance the masses’ cry with their platforms.

Their present gesture reminded the public of their remarkable participation in the #endsars protest.

Other Nigerian celebrities like Tiwa Savage and Toke Makinwa were also spotted in Lagos during the protest.

African Giant Burna Boy finally received his Grammy  award Plaque  during the week.

The  Nigerian artist who early this year won a Grammy for his  “twice as tall”  album in the global music album category, received his plaque via courier.

”Early Morning deliveries from across the pond” he captioned the  picture of the plaque on his Instagram as he celebrates its arrival.

Davido finally responded to a Nigerian Prophet who claimed the young artist will be poisoned by one of his acquaintances.

“God will expose and deal with any wickedness around me near or far AMEN .. I’m blessed,” Davido tweeted.

His fans stormed the internet with prayers.

Nigerian female celebrities Tiwa Savage and Seyi Shay engaged in an unpleasant altercation during the week.

A viral video of the divas exchanging humiliating abuses hit the internet early in the week.

The beef which initially started in 2017  escalated during week after the duo encounter each other at a salon in Lagos.
