Soludo’s campaign manager dies 11 days after appointment

Joe Anatune, a media aide to Governor Charles Soludo has died 11 days after he was named MD/CEO of the Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency.

Mr Anatune died on Saturday, April 29, aged 62.

Mr Soludo, in a statement released on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, expressed shock and disbelief over the incident.

“Joe Anatune was one of the foremost Apostles of the Soludo project with an uncommon strength and courage to deliver on any given assignment.

The governor stated that “Joe’s personal sacrifices during his electioneering campaign were not only exceptional but highly commendable.”

Mr Anatune was the head of media for the Soludo campaign during the electioneering run.

“He spearheaded the Soludo Promoters Forum (SPF) and for two years used the platform to engage the professionals into mainstream politics,” the government’s statement noted. “The government and the good people of Anambra State will sorely miss Joe Anatune.”
