Anambra’s first lady, Nonye Soludo, has urged youths to harness their creative potential and embrace innovation as tools for societal progress.

Mrs Soludo made the call on Tuesday in a message commemorating World Innovation and Creativity Day, highlighting the importance of ideas and originality in driving development.

World Creativity and Innovation Day is marked annually on April 21.

It aims to raise awareness of the importance of creativity and innovation in problem-solving to advance the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.

Mrs Soludo said the day celebrated the power of ideas, the courage to think differently and the beauty of innovation in advancing communities.

The governor’s wife urged youths, dreamers and change-makers to recognise and utilise their unique talents.

Mrs Soludo noted that innovation was not limited to technology but extended to problem-solving and creating opportunities.

“Innovation is not only about technology; it is about finding new ways to solve problems, uplift others, and create opportunities where none existed before,” Mrs Soludo said.

According to her, entrepreneurs, artisans, students and professionals in the state continue to demonstrate creativity that fosters a brighter future.

Mrs Soludo consequently emphasised the need to nurture curiosity, support bold ideas, and invest in human potential to achieve sustainable development.
