Southampton sink suffering Chelsea at Stamford Bridge

Relegation-threatened Southampton defeated underperfoming Chelsea 1-0 at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the English Premier League game.
The Saints grabbed a crucial three points to keep their hope of surviving relegation this season alive, while Graham Potter’s Chelsea continued their bad form.
The two sides struggling for form were at 45 minutes into the game at Stamford Bridge until James Ward-Prowse’s struck.
Ward-Prowse delivered a well tailored free kick from 25 yard behind Kepa Arrizabalaga to put The Saints, leaving Chelsea one goal down into first half break.
The Blues returned into the second half looking much stronger, dominating 60 per cent ball possession but could not pull an equaliser.
With Saturday’s win, Southampton still remain last on the league log, while Chelsea retained their 10th position.
