Super Falcons arrive camp ahead of 2026 WAFCON

The Super Falcons have begun preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, with nine players arriving at the team’s training camp in Casablanca.
The team’s media officer, Mary Akinsola, disclosed on Monday that the early arrivals include captain Rasheedat Ajibade, first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and veteran forward Asisat Oshoala.
Others are Glory Ogbonna, Christy Ucheibe, Fatima Oloko, Oluwatosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran and Shukurat Oladipo.
Ms Akinsola said more players and technical crew members were expected to arrive in camp in the coming days as preparations intensified for the continental showpiece.
The 2026 WAFCON will be held in Morocco from July 25 to August 16.
Nigeria aims to reclaim the title and extend its record as Africa’s most successful women’s national team.
The Super Falcons are drawn in Group C with Egypt, Malawi and Zambia and are expected to begin full-scale training once the squad is complete.
