Suspected bomb found on train tracks in Germany

German authorities have confirmed that a suspected bomb object was discovered on train tracks near Treuchtlingen train station in Bavaria on Thursday.
German police said the incident was concerning as the object was suspected to contain explosives. A bomb squad was deployed to move and examine the object using a robot and X-ray equipment.
The police later confirmed that the object did not contain any loaded explosives.
Authorities also evacuated individuals living near the scene and advised the public to stay away from the area.
The development has suspended other activities, including rail traffic, as investigations continue.
The incident comes nearly a week after a drone was found loaded with explosives near a runway at the Leipzig/Halle Airport, as German authorities continue to investigate the incident.
Both events prompt several security concerns in the country.
