The tightly contested clash appeared destined for a stalemate until the 83rd minute, when the Hungarian midfielder produced a moment of brilliance. After Curtis Jones was fouled on the edge of the box, Szoboszlai stepped up and curled a sublime strike over the wall and into the top corner, leaving Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya rooted to the spot.

It was a decisive strike in a match defined by defensive discipline rather than attacking flair. Both sides struggled to create clear chances, with Liverpool seeing an earlier goal ruled out for offside and Arsenal unable to unlock the home side’s backline.
