The committee also asserted that the 10th National Assembly would not tolerate corruption.
The National Assembly pledged an improved budgetary provision for cancer care in the country.
“I am not sure there is going to be a specific bill on social media regulation. However, there are emailing laws in various areas; social media is just one space.”
Mr Bamidele, a lawyer with over 30 years experience, was unanimously announced as the Senate leader on July 4 at the plenary in Abuja.
“I saw development coming up; I saw universities springing up; I saw a rice mill by Aliko Dangote; I saw so many development efforts.”
“But, however, the bill has gotten to the committee level and we are almost there. If it becomes a reality, it will take a lot of hardship away from many homes”, she said.
The federal lawmaker added that there would be no discrimination between indigenes and non-indigenes in his service delivery.
Mr Shettima stated that his comments were misinterpreted and that he had no intention of defaming his religion.
The president made this vow in a congratulatory message to Godswill Akpabio and Tajudeen Abbas on their election as Senate President and House of Representatives Speaker respectively.
